Name: Susan
D.O.B - Late 80’s, perhaps early 90’s.
Origin: Dam to Flinger and Crybaby, granddam to Half & Half, greatgranddam to Daphne

Susan is a “Grandma” cow. Actually, she’s probably more like a great-great-great Grandma cow. I would guess that as of August 2006, she is at least 15 years old, perhaps a little more. She was a show cow back in the day, going to fairs during the summer.

Though she is getting up there in age, she’s still an “alpha” cow in the pasture. Other cows don’t mess with her, and she’ll push another out of the way if they’re bugging her. On the occasions that another cow gives birth in the pasture, Susan will stand guard and not let any other cows near the calf.
